Exploring the tradition and culture of stitch, this course brings a contemporary twist to hand and machine embroidery, the very nature of fabrics themselves being ‘unpicked’ using techniques such as dry felting, blunt needlework and pulled-thread work.  Imagery, texture and colour will be explored, from drawing with stitch, to forming delicate, lace-like fabrics using dissolvable fabric and freehand machine embroidery.
